Putting students in the spotlight

Challenge

We wanted to do something totally different than the typical corporate gala. Our dream fundraiser would be centered on youth—as in, the event couldn’t exist without them.

Results

With this vision in mind, I created persuasive messaging to share with potential sponsors. I coordinated all aspects of Rêve Revival, including details for how students would lead it, not merely participate.

When it was over, we learned that 100% of our sponsors would highly recommend the experience to a co-worker. We renewed the event twice more, to rave reviews from students and sponsors. Not only did we raise enough funds to serve 900 students, we kept event costs impressively low (just 12% in 2018), so that more money went towards serving young people.
